NFTH Owners redeem Benefits.
A Benefit can be proven at the point of redemption to an agent of the Issuer via a URL link or by showing a QR code to scan. It may also be redeemed following other instructions associated with the Benefit, which may involve entering a code or visiting another website.

Furthermore, a Near Field Communication (NFC) RFID tag can be associated to an NFTH, or to a subset of Benefits smelted to that NFTH, by an Owner or Issuer via the Portal. An NFC tag can be read natively by a modern Android phone or iPhone. The NFC tag is programmed and locked to open the Portal on the phone’s browser to verify Ownership. If the tag is lost, stolen or has been exhausted (i.e. the Benefit has been consumed), the Owner can easily change the association. That means Ownership remains safely with the NFTH and not the NFC tag itself.
That means NFTH Ownership can be quickly proven e.g. at an event, by the Owner carrying the NFC and the Issuer’s agent using a phone to scan the NFC. That means an Owner can give that particular Benefit to someone else without having to transfer or sell the NFTH.
NFC’s also come in all sorts of shapes and sizes so in their own way they can be merchandised and made collectible.
Note that Benefits entitlement is issued to an NFTH Owner, NOT the NFC Owner. NFTH ownership cannot be counterfeited as it is recorded on the blockchain. NFC’s URL data can be copied or counterfeited but there are many ways to identify a fake.
Each NFC has a unique ID (UID) serial number stamped on it by the manufacturer, which makes it suitable for security implementations. Any NFC reader (e.g. NFC Tools App) can run a FULL SCAN to return both the locked URL and the UID. The URL must match the UID for the NFC to be genuine:
https://www.NFTAssayOffice.com/scan.php?nfc=xxxxxxx (where xxxxxxx is the NFC UID)
A custom NFC can be programmed following this same syntax. Use an NFC Tool to read the UID of the tag and then re-encode the NFC with the above line. It can then be associated in the NFTAssayOffice.com Portal with a Benefit.
